2026 Camping Holidays Near the Eden Project: Key Dates and What to Expect at Tregarton Park

Planning a camping holiday near the Eden Project in 2026? Tregarton Park is one of the most convenient and welcoming places to stay.

Set in twelve acres of peaceful Cornish countryside near Mevagissey, our family-run park provides a quiet base with easy access to beaches, coastal walks, St Austell, and of course the Eden Project.

The campsite has been run by the Hicks family for more than twenty-nine years, and that experience shows in how clean, friendly and well organised the park feels from the moment you arrive.

To help you plan your trip, here is a clear look at our key dates for the 2026 season. We also look at what you can expect when staying at this popular campsite near the Eden Project.

2026 Season Opening Dates

Our park opens its gates on 1 May 2026, which also marks the first day the shop, takeaway and swimming pool open. Early May is therefore a good time for a quieter stay while still enjoying full access to our park’s main facilities.

The early weeks of May also place you right in time for the May Day celebrations on 4 May, which is a lively start to the Cornish season.

From late May, the park moves into one of its busiest and brightest periods. Spring Bank Week begins on 23 May, bringing long days, warmer weather and ideal conditions for visiting the Eden Project. Many families choose this time of year because the outdoor Biome gardens are in full bloom and the indoor attractions are easier to explore before the main summer crowds arrive.

The summer continues right through to the August Bank Holiday on 31 August, which is another strong period for guests who want to blend beach days, coastal walks and a relaxed visit to attractions like the Eden Project. With Tregarton Park set just a short drive away, it is easy to plan your trip around quieter entry times or return to the park for a swim or rest whenever you like.

End of Season Dates

As autumn approaches, our shop, swimming pool and takeaway all close on 25 September. This is followed by the park closing on 26 September 2026. Late September is a peaceful time to visit, with fewer visitors at the Eden Project and softer weather that suits walkers, couples and anyone who prefers quieter facilities.

What to Expect During Your Stay

Tregarton Park provides a spacious layout, well kept grounds and a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind after exploring Cornwall. Our guests benefit from clean facilities, a friendly team and a location that places beaches, Mevagissey harbour and the Eden Project within easy reach.

Whether you stay for a short break or a longer holiday, you’ll enjoy a comfortable base that combines convenience with a genuine family run charm.
