If you’ve ever seen a dog bounding joyfully on a Cornish beach, you’ll know they always appreciate being part of your holiday. From chasing waves to walking along the clifftops, they love every minute of it.
Why leave them behind if you’re camping, when you can bring them along to our campsite in Cornwall? For a small extra charge, we accept up to two dogs per pitch. However, it’s vital to stick to the following rules:
- Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. They must not be allowed to leave ‘their business’ in the park or recreation area. Don’t worry, we have an exercise field for them instead.
- As a responsible owner you must clear up any dog mess.
- Dogs are not allowed in our swimming pool, shop and cafe complex.
- They’re also not allowed in the toilets, showers or the launderette.
- Dogs must never be left unattended in the park.
Our latest facilities for dogs include a patio for them near our swimming pool complex. This means you can still enjoy this area if you have a pooch along. In this area is a large parasol to offer some shade from the heat here in Cornwall.
Dog-Friendly Beaches Nearby
Then there’s the beaches. No Cornish holiday is complete without spending plenty of time at the beach, but it can be trickier if you have a dog along.
Various beaches have different restrictions, so it’s vital to check beforehand. If you’re looking for a beach where they’re allowed all year round, there’s Portlunay Cove near us. This beautiful sandy beach is just one of the stunning beaches close to our campsite. Vault Beach is another nearby bay that welcomes dogs.
