Dog-Friendly Beaches Near Tregarton Park: A Local Guide for Guests

There is perhaps nothing happier than a dog on the beach. You might have seen the way dogs run joyfully up and down the sands, relishing the sea air, the excitement of the waves and the feel of the warm sand on their paws.

When guests stay with us at Tregarton Park, one of the best things about being here is how easy it is to bring a dog.  Not only do we have many excellent facilities for dogs, there are also plenty of dog-friendly beaches near us. We are also close to many scenic coastal walks, all which are only a short drive away, so your furry friend is guaranteed to have an incredible time.

Here are just a few you get easily travel to from our campsite:

Porthluney Cove

Porthluney Cove is a lovely place for a beach day, especially if you enjoy a more picturesque setting. Next to Caerhays Castle & Gardens, it offers a beautiful sandy beach with parking, a café, shop and toilets nearby, which makes it an excellent choice for families and dog owners alike.

It’s particularly great if you’re seeking dog friendly beaches in Cornwall with plenty to do nearby. The beach also links well with the coastal footpath, so you can combine a walk with some time by the sea.

Gorran Haven Beach

Gorran Haven Beach is a classic Cornish village cove and one of the most popular beaches near Tregarton Park. With its golden sands, sheltered position and harbour setting, it is ideal for a relaxed seaside visit.

The village itself has a strong sense of character, and the beach is close to local facilities, which makes it easy to spend a full morning or afternoon there.

Gorran Haven is highly convenient, charming and full of beautiful coastal scenery. It is also a good spot for a gentle walk before or after a visit to the beach, especially if you want to make the most of the fresh sea air.

Vault Beach

If you prefer somewhere quieter, Vault Beach is well worth a visit. This sheltered sweep of sand and shingle on the eastern side of Dodman Point feels more peaceful than some of the busier beaches, which is why many guests love it for a slower-paced day out.

It is especially appealing for anyone looking for dog friendly camping in Cornwall close to areas that are less crowded. Vault Beach is the kind of place where you can pause, savour the view and take your time, making it a lovely destination for a truly relaxing day out.
