How Easy is it to Visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan From Tregarton Park?

Located only a five-minute drive from The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Tregarton Park makes it easy to make the most of this attraction this summer. Since we’re so close to these beautiful gardens, you won’t have the stress of a lengthy journey in the heat. You can also cycle there in roughly a quarter of an hour from our campsite.

Providing everything from spring lambs and bright flowers, through to a ‘Neon’ Jungle’ roller rink for kids, The Lost Gardens have something for everyone this season.

Our campsite is also designed for families with young children, so the fun doesn’t have to stop when you return from your day out. With our heated swimming pool, playground, tennis courts and much more, you might actually find it tempting to stay on-site!

Fancy visiting the Eden Project instead?

Our campsite is also close to the Eden Project, arguably Cornwall’s most famous attraction, with it taking around half an hour to drive to the site.

Celebrating 25 years in 2026, the Eden Project always has plenty of events running throughout the year. This summer you can experience everything from giant marble runs (kids will love them!) through to world-class live concerts. There is also an outdoor cinema, so if you fancy watching a film under the stars it’s a great opportunity.

There’s gorgeous gardens galore in Cornwall.

We’re also near Pinetum Park and Pine Lodge Gardens, which have plenty of rare and unusual plants; Trewithen Gardens, a historic private estate; and Lanhydrock, the perfect country house and estate.

If you’re passionate about the great outdoors, you might want to visit more than one of the gardens this summer. We’re also near many of Cornwall’s most stunning beaches, including Porthluney Cove. This enchanting sandy beach is situated next to Caerhays Castle & Gardens. There is a large car park, shop, cafe and toilets. Like our pet-friendly campsite, dogs are allowed on the beach all year round.

When does Tregarton Park open for the season?

We’re set to open on the 1st May, so now is a great time to book a pitch and save your space. You can find out more about our key dates here. We’re then open until 26th September 2026. Whether you’re visiting for the spring bank week or summer holidays, you’re promised a warm welcome.
