The Eden Project is one of the best family-friendly attractions in Cornwall, and it’s only a short drive from our campsite.
Opened in 2001, the site was originally a clay pit, but now features two massive biomes housing thousands of plant species from diverse climates. That includes the Rainforest Biome, which is a tropical wonderland, showcasing plants like cocoa, rubber and bamboo.
Meanwhile, the Mediterranean Biome mimics the warm climates of Southern Europe and California. Here you can explore olive trees, grapevines and aromatic herbs.
Visitors can also explore outdoor gardens filled with native Cornish plants, art installations and educational exhibits focusing on biodiversity and conservation. The Eden Project regularly hosts cultural events, including concerts, workshops and educational programmes, making it a wonderful destination for all ages.
